Monday, make it happen 1.20.14


Last week was super productive fitness wise! I finished week 5 of StrongLifts 5×5, and I worked out 5 days, woot woot!

Here’s a quick rundown…

Progress pic, belly is finally starting to shrink, and shoulders are starting to grow.


In anticipation of spri tri training, I’ve added spin into the routine…been good about taking my post workout protein. Now if I could only get my water intake back to a gallon. :/ I used to be so good.


Swimming has definitely become an enjoyable part of my workout regimen.


The weather last week here in SoCal was unseasonably hot, not warm, HOT! Mid 80’s all week, unfortunately, drought and dry heat don’t mix, and there were some bad wild fires, thank God no one lost their lives. In the pic below you can see smoke over the water. Keep in mind the fires were about 40-50 miles inland. Pretty insane.

Sunday was very relaxing, spent a lot of the day reading book #2 for my 2014 reading challenge.


I also got in some cardio and abs before my SEAHAWKS kicked some butt in the NFC!

Happy New Year! Yes, this post is a day late. Yes, it’s been 2014 for almost a week…yadda…yadda…yadda…lol

Here’s a quick catch up as I attempt to get back on the blogging wagon…

I have been working out and eating clean through and around the holidays, thank goodness, because I thoroughly enjoyed myself! And when I say I, I mean my stomach. ๐Ÿ™‚


I’ve been committed to my StrongLifts 5×5 program and just finished week 3, and I’m happy to report that I’m getting stronger each week! Here are a few stats:

Baby gains! They’re happening people!

It’s been hard to get my blogging, etc..focus since the holidays, you guys know I’ve been struggling with it since Thanksgiving, but I’ll be back on point in a minute.


This is definitely my mantra for the new year! Let’s just say I have dead weight I need to lose besides lbs this year. I won’t go into resolution details, but this really is the center of how I’d like my life to me.

There’s a definite focus on health and fitness, as well as self improvement. I’m sure things will come out post by post in due time, stay tuned.

So, how’s 2014 treating everyone so far? Any cool trips, resolutions, goals? Share please, I’d love to know!

Monday, Make It Happen

Hi guys, it’s Monday, here we go!

I had a nice relaxing weekend, no complaints here. It’s a good thing I took it easy, because as I type I feel as though I’m fighting something. I’m not sure if it’s a cold or allergies, but I have NO time for it, especially with Vegas looming on the horizon. Here are a few snaps from the weekend…

Friday night cheese party, I love me some Humboldt Fog, and if you didn’t know, I HAVE A HUGE CHEESE PROBLEM.


Had an awesome day hanging out with one of my best girl friends on Saturday, nothing beats girl time.


Went to breakfast with two of my favorite humans on Sunday morning, and found the latest addition for my workspace! If I only had room, love this not so little guy.


Ran a few errands after breakfast and took an afternoon nap with my boys, perfect Sunday!


Last week was productive. This week I’m just trying to keep the momentum going. Iย  set a goal last month to have 100 items in my shop by today, fail. I’m 23 away and not sure that I can bust out that much product in the next few days. Bummer. I’m still focusing on creating as much as I can and getting things set up for Black Friday and being out of town. Wish me luck. Have a great week.

Monday, Make It Happen

The weekend started off great. Friday I woke up early got in a workout, ate a yummy paleo breakfast, threw dinner in the crock pot, grabbed the pup and headed up the coast to Zuma Beach to pick up my bib for the Malibu Half Marathon. It was a gorgeous day in the Bu, and traffic was Friday morning light. Bib pick up was a breeze. I couldn’t have asked for any more. Except to actually be pain free and able to run Sunday. Didn’t happen. It’s not a pitty party so I won’t go on.

At least I had the comfort of Sunday morning cuddles with this lil monkey.


And my favorite breakfast. No it’s not the dirty fat ladden post half marathon feast I had imagined, but it was delicious just the same, and GUILT FREE! Organic, GMO free, vegetarian…(bubbles don’t count)


I also, got a few new items listed in the shop, a few more to go. Then on to creating new pieces!

I’m happy to report that last week’s plan was a success!

  • I created 8 new pieces!
  • Blogged 4 days and I think I only missed one photo a day prompt, but there was still a blog post that day!
  • Definitely marketed/promoted
  • Worked out the 3 days I wanted to, not sure about my -2 lb goal, don’t weigh myself on Mondays

Now for this week…Itโ€™s Monday, and hereโ€™s the Make It Happen Plan:

  • Get the rest of the items made last week online
  • Create new items, different category
  • Blog my scheduled 3 days a week
  • Market and promote.
  • Gym 3 days / -2 lbs

Monday, Make It Happen!

How are you guys? I had a great weekend, lots of fun and exciting things happened. My other half had a road race, there was girls night, and I was even able to make it to the gym with the funky back/hips! Whaaaaaaa??? I know! yup! ๐Ÿ™‚ But now it’s time to focus!

Monday, the beginning of the week, a chance for a fresh start, time to set up new goals, and slay them over the next several days. There’s a lot of new things happening over this way. New schedules, new pieces in the works, shop and blog facelifts, and much more.

It’s Monday, and here’s the Make It Happen Plan:

  • Create and finish as many pieces as possible, take product photos, and get the items in the shop right away .
  • Blog my scheduled 3 days a week (photo a day posts aside).
  • Market and promote.
  • Get to the gym 3 days / -2 lbs (if my back allows).

(all while adhering to the new schedule that’s been put in place to keep everything flowing as efficiently as can be)

I’ll check back in next week, and let you guys know how it went.
